Disable "Update All" to reduce the risk of updating everything by mistake

I think the convenient "Update all" buttons can be a risk. Many perhaps want to better control the updates. It can easily happen that you select the plugins and individual sites, and then by mistake click "Update all" instead of "Update Selected"

Currently, "Update all" can only be disabled on the main overview page. It can't be disabled on the individual Update pages (Plugin updates, Theme updates, WordPress updates)

I can see how that might be useful. There is a confirmation dialog setting for these pages.

It's true. I think it's a different workflow (or feeling) how this works. Let me try to explain what I think. It comes back to the fact that I think many automatically just click the confirmation button, no matter what it asks, as you automatically expect to click it.

Variant Update Confirmation (Update Selected)

  1. Select individual plugins of some websites, select all plugins of other websites, select no plugins of other websites

  2. Click Update Selected

  3. Confirmation Dialogue → Click Yes

Variant Update Confirmation (by mistake Update All)

  1. Select individual plugins of some websites, select all plugins of other websites, select no plugins of other websites

  2. Click by mistake Update All

  3. Confirmation Dialogue → Click No

I think here is the problem. You get so used to it to confirm, so you just click always twice: 1x Update + 1x Confirm (not matter if you click Update Selected or Update All, it's very likely that you automatically just confirm the dialogue)

Better

  1. Select individual plugins of some websites, select all plugins of other websites, select no plugins of other websites

  2. Just be able to click Update Selected, as Update All does not exist
    Confirmation Dialogue not needed
If you want to Update All, you can just bulk select all (or for the brave ones you can still enable the Update All button in the settings like it is right now)

If someone else reads it, the more advanced snippet did not work for me. While the simple widget (just hide .mainwp-update-all-button) did work.

Perhaps this gets anyway implemented in the future. I think it's valid when you think of how the human brain and habits work.

@Markus try clearing your browser cache? It should deffinarly work. Good luck
