Due the great changes that GPS is incorporating, it would be great to add other tools like GTmetrix that are more neutral thn GPS

Personally I'd prefer using the WebPageTest.org API instead of GTMetrix, but that's just my own preference. Either way something other than Lighthouse would be great. :-)

I'm all for GTmetrix's api driven tests - they work really well and having that built in would be great.

As mentioned by other Commentors Also it is highly recommended other Tools for reporting along with Lighthouse.
i.e. Gtmatrix, Web page test ,

@Waqas Raza Chughtai Yes, GTMetrix is grat, but the new prices plans they have now make it less interesting for many people.
